The seder plate carries the names of the items to be placed on it, and around the rim the order of the telling of the story during the Passover meal. The matching Elijah's cup has raised text: "Elijah the prophet, the Tishbite, of Gilead."

This pair appeared in the United Synagogue of America calendar for 1989 to 1990. Because pieces in the calendar had to belong to a congregation, Arnold gave them to Heska Amuna Synagogue, where they are displayed in the lobby. At a later seminar in Jerusalem the collector Jean Moldovan, looking through photographs of the studio line, stopped at this plate: she had bought one at the Jewish Museum shop in New York, not as a collector, she said, but because she liked it.
