On Friday night, after the blessing is said over the challah, this plate is intended to be used to pass the sliced bread. Number 16 has raised text, "who brings forth bread from the earth," with "Shabbat" in blue and 22K gold at the center and a wheat motif at the top. Number 17 has "Shabbat" in the center and a wheat motif on the rim, decorated by slip trailing, which is like cake decorating with liquid blue clay.
