There are two blessings over wine during the traditional Jewish wedding ceremony. These are also kiddush cups, but the gold text reads "I am my beloved's and my beloved is mine," from the Song of Songs. The 22K gold is fired over the glazed piece; this third firing at about 1500 degrees bonds the gold to the glaze. Names and a date could be added.
